Meet Kati-Rose & Anne

We created Baltic Folk as a way to connect to and celebrate our Estonian heritage. We aim to put a spot light on what is a beautiful country and culture by creating a legacy to pass on to others through our jewelry, education, and other products we'll create.

Both our families fled Estonia before occupation during WWII. We are second cousins, with Kati-Rose following Anne's footsteps to become a graphic designer - a handy skill to have when designing our own products for Baltic Folk. The concept for the design is a stylised interpretation of traditional motifs embroidered onto national costumes.

Over the course of our lives we have been active in the Estonian community in Australia, the highlight being our acceptance to dance in the World Estonian Song and Dance Festival "Aja Puudutus. Puudutuse Aeg" in 2014, with our Sydney troupe. Since an early age we have both taken part in Folk dancing as it's something we have grown up with - and was not optional as a child :))

We hope to share more about the Estonian culture via blog posts, and our social media pages in the future when we have the time. Baltic Folk is a passion project while we both have full time jobs - Kati-Rose in Legal, and Anne has her own wellness practice Empowering Health www.empoweringhealth.clinic

Please note due to our other commitments we dedicate 2 days a week currently to fulfilling orders and responding to enquiries.
